Independent and Group work is equally Important! - MED329


  • MED329 - Transmedia & Exp Des has given me a chance to work in groups to complete projects, we have group meetings every Tuesday to catch up on the schedule for the upcoming week. This week we had our first meeting after deciding who's project we will be creating. as the action planner i wrote out all tasks and dates that we will aim to have them finalised by. I have sent a photo of the post it notes laid out in order so it is easy to follow and will have a reminder for the deadlines of the project. Lisa took charge of the minutes for the meeting, Kelsey was chair person and Sorcha had no role for this weeks meeting .

Starting our Business - Branding and Logos

Myself and Lisa are starting up a new graphic design company. We have went over names for the company and decided to go with ' Zig Zag', its easy, catchy, public will remember it and it is sometime that people know. We made up logos on Photoshop which took a total of 2 weeks as we also had to fit in time for university work and we had other deadlines to meet. However as it was only us two we had no back and forth with clients therefore it took far less time to come to the final agreement on the logo.

Final Placement Prep

Now that my Placement has been confirmed by both my University and employer I had a phone call with Colin ensuring that I will be Prepared on what tasks and projects I will need to do and will be working on during my time at Titanic SA Belfast. Tasks and Projects will include: Social Media Updates Make Graphics for Social media and website Film Adverts and Property Tours  Edit Tours and upload to Sites Advertise Properties Keep on top of Events in Belfast and Adverts for them  To do all of this I made sure I had all the correct software i.e. Adobe After Effects, Photo Shop, Rent AC90 cameras for Filming, all social media account log in details Etc.  On my First day Colin will go over what needs done and the deadlines for each of the projects.
